Matt’s parents (Dale & Patty) are holding a giant yard sale at their house (2774 South 2000 East) on Saturday June 9th and possibly the 10th. If you have items that you would like to donate to have sold at this fundraiser for Matt, Brooke and Reagan please let Dale know (450-9401) to arrange to drop them off or to have him pick them up. We already have some great items donated with many furniture items, some antiques, children’s clothes and toys, a set of nearly new women’s golf clubs and other interesting things. The more items we have to sell the more fun and funds that go to Matt. Please consider donating items (ASAP) and stopping by to visit or buy on June 9th and 10th. Again, from Matt and Brooke’s families, many thanks to everyone !

Thank you so much to all the generous friends and family who signed up for delivering meals to Matt and Brooke. From October to now, not one week has gone by without food deliveries. With Matt out of the hospital, their schedule has become even more hectic; daily visits to Neuroworx mean that they don’t return home until 6:00 or later each night. As we all know, cooking meals gets challenging at the best of times - and having the food and meals ready for them has meant that they eat well and nutritiously instead of relying on fast food, or just doing without.
I am hoping that people will sign up for a second meal delivery - or for a first if you’re just now getting involved. I know that four meals was a tough task, so I’m looking for people who would be willing to sign up for two meals (although I won’t turn down more!). We’ve got the next two weeks covered, but have openings again starting February 17th. You don’t necessarily have to cook: both My Girlfriend’s Kitchen and Dream Dinners will prepare meals for you; and SLC Waiter will set up a gift certificate account so Matt and Brooke can order food from various restaurants and have it delivered.
If you can help, please contact Amy Kelly at amy.kelly@yahoo.com or (801)278-9125

Hello Everybody!
I just wanted to spread the word about a fundraising party that’s
being held for Matt at The Front Climbing Club on Saturday, January
27th. The party is being sponsored by a few exhibitors of Winter O.R.
as well as some local companies who’ve been kind enough to help out.
Since it’s a cooperate sponsored event, the sponsors will have
tickets at OR and will be giving them out as they see fit. Members of
the Front are free to attend as well as competitors from their comp
earlier that day.
Another way to attend and help the cause is to help out with the
party. We need personal to donate a bit of time during the event,
mostly just keeping an eye on the place and making sure things go
smoothly.
What we’re looking for are:
Roughly 5 people to help with arranging the gym from 7-9p.m on the 27th.
Around 5-10 people to help out in shifts or as superior commonsense
kicks in during the event from 9p.m - roughly 1a.m…. basically just
emptying trash, asking for donations, trying to keep the place fairly
clean and keeping people from doing anything silly.
Then 5 people to help re-arrange the gym the next day, Jan 28th from
10a.m-12
The party will be a blast! Free drinks(alcohol and non-alcoholic), light snacks a D.J. and no
cover! We’re only asking for donations so hopefully we can round up
some more money to help Matt adjust to life outside the hospital.
Please email if you’re free to help!
Thanks in advance to: Petzl, Black Diamond, The Front, Lortsher &
Vlasic Catering and Revolution Climbing for their contributions!
Happy New Year!

Cedar Wright is on a quest to understand climbing’s most mysterious dicipline: the ropeless art of bouldering. With difficult moves far above dangerous landings, bouldering is essentially gymnastics with consequences. As demanding as a routine on the rings or the parallel bars, bouldering tests the mind and body of its participants, and the athletes it attracts seek its unique blend of adrenaline and aesthetics.Through several conversations with some of the best athletes currently practicing the sport, Cedar gains insight into this unique lifestyle, and what it takes to do the impossible both on a rock and in life.
Mike Call is hosting this screening as a benefit to the Matt Lund Fund. It is being presented by our area climbing gyms and shops:
Momentum Climbing Gym
The Front Climbing Gym
Rockreation
The Quarry
Mountainworks
IME
Black Diamond
There will be a raffle with a bunch of cool prizes. Half the profits from the show will go to the Matt Lund Fund. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance a week before the show at the tower, or at the door the night of the show.
Come on out, let’s fill the theater.

Matt and Brooke need help with snow removal. If you are able, please sign up for one week’s worth of time between now and January for Snow Duty at Matt and Brooke’s house.
If it snows during your assigned week, head over there in the morning to shovel the walks and clean off their car.
Please pass this along to anyone you think may also want to help out. The week of December 1st through the 8th is covered.
I will also speak with the neighbors to see if they can also assist with this…
Email Emery or phone her at 706-4522 for more info.
Thanks,
Emery
